The Huelgas Ensemble
(Belgium) – representation of selected projects for Czech, Slovak and Hungarian territory

Founded by Paul Van Nevel, the Huelgas Ensemble has emerged as one of Europe's premiere vocal ensembles dedicated to the performance of music from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Combining academic erudition with extraordinary skill and verve, the Huelgas Ensemble brings to life long-forgotten works of music that all too often have lain mutely in dark corners of archives and libraries across the European continent.

Among their numerous critical prizes, the Huelgas Ensemble has garnered the Cannes Classical Award, the Diapason d'or, the Edison award, the de Caecilia award, and the Snepvangers award of the Belgian Music Press.

Czech Philharmonic Choir
The Czech Philharmonic Choir was founded in 1935 by an opera singer and choirmaster Jan Kühn under the name Czech Choir. Originally a chamber ensemble serving primarily the Czechoslovak Radio, it had grown into a 200-singer strong choir, and in 1953 it was integrated into the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. The fruitful cooperation of these two ensembles has contributed greatly to the success of the Czech musical scene.

The Czech Philharmonic Choir ranks among the leading representatives of the Czech musical heritage. The artistic development and importance of the ensemble is reflected also in the hundreds of recordings which remain sought after by the connoisseurs of choral music. It is this flexibility and professionalism that makes the Prague Philharmonic Choir a valued collaborator of leading national, European, and global ensembles, conductors, and musical festivals.
